A: I really like this handbag. How much is it?
B: I can give it to you for $100.
A: I don’t know. $100 seems expensive?

B: You won’t find anything better at that price. Look, how about I give you a key chain for free?

A: Well, that sounds better, but I don’t really need a key chain. If I pay cash, could you give me a belt and the bag for $85?
*that’s more like it
B: Tell you what, I could give you any belt you like, and the bag for $95. That’s my best offer. Take it or leave it.
A: We have a deal.

いつ使う?
if節で述べる内容が、現実として十分起こりうる可能性がある場合
例:If Pete gives me a DVD, I'll be happy.

I'm going camping this weekend.
Would it be OK if I borrowed your tent?
I promise to take care of it.
Sure. No problem.
I need to write a report but my computer's not working.
I was wondering if I could borrow yours.
I'll get it back to you as soon as I can.
OK. As long as you get it back to me by tomorrow.
I've been invited to go skiing this weekend.
Could you possibly lend me your skis?
Actually, I was planning on using it.
I'm not sure. I don't usually lend it out.
I'm sorry. I'd really prefer not to.
You never give things back!

We can watch TV on mobile phone.10 years ago we couldn't do that.We ccan get new information easily. That's true but we should learn how to use the movile phone. When we use them, we can call anyone anytime from almost anywhere. It's more convienient than 100 years ago. I think it will be much smaller and lighter and it will have function like a PC. I don't like that idea. It sounds kind of like the Borg.
It's not as big a problem as people say.
It's not as bad as people think.
For examplem Ayumi Hamasaki, a famous Japanese ainger. She sings many songsm but I don't get the difference. The songs are too similar. I don't thnk so, but at that time we gave more importance to the lyrics than these days.
I can't understand why so many people follow new tech. We don't have to keep up with it.

I think it depends.

◆ 日曜に快い朝寝を楽しむ
enjoy a pleasant morning in bed on Sundays
enjoy a refreshing long sleep on Sundays
have a nice lie-in on Sunday mornings
◆ This morning I slept in and didn’t get up until after midday.
今朝は二度寝をして起きたのは昼過ぎだった。
◆ 土砂降り
It's raining cats and dogs outside.
It's really pouring.
get soaked びしょ濡れになる
drizzle 霧雨、細雨、こぬか雨
It is drizzling
We had a really excellent time on vacation in Hawaii. The weather was awesome. I bought tons of magnificent souvenirs for people back home. We did amazing fun things there. I went scuba diving and I saw loads of unbelievable things underwater. My husband took a great number of pictures. He’s the best photographer I have ever seen. We ate the most gorgeous meal on a cruise ship on the last night. I would recommend traveling to Hawaii. It’s a wonderful place.

We had the best vacation in Hawaii. The weather was perfect, really spectacular. I bought a ton of exotic souvenirs for everyone I know. You wouldn’t believe how much fun we had.
The greatest experience of my life was when we went scuba diving. The coral and the fish are breathtaking. I was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It didn’t look real.
My husband took a thousand photographs. He’s such a spectacular photographer, he really should start working for a magazine.
Last night blew me away. We dined on board a cruise ship. The food just melted in my mouth. You have to go to Hawaii. It’s out of this world.

-Preparing the listener-
I know you're busy, but could I ask you a favor?
I hate to be a nuisance, but...
I'm sorry to bother you, but do you mind if I ask you a question?
I'm sorry to be so much trouble, but...
-Giving reasons-
Well, you see...
I'd really like to...
It's really important that...
-Making polite requests-
It would really help if...
I was wondering if it would be possible....?
I'd really appreciate if it...
I don't have much time to get to my flight (before my flight.)
Would you mind letting me forward? ( a head of you)
Would you mind if I ask a question?
I’d like to board the airplane with 2 bags.
I understand that, but…
Actually my company is having a big meeting tomorrow morning.
