Reforming criminal behavior is one of the main goals of prisons. While these are ways prisons can do better at rehabilitating criminals, that does not mean that prisons are completely ineffective. Society should focus on improving the current prison system. Creating a new system to replace prisons would be too costly and possibly ineffective.
