Main Language

I’ve always wanted to visit India and see the pyramids.

- You mean Egypt, don’t you?

- I think they might be in Egypt.

The pyramids are in Alexandria.

- Aren’t they in Cairo?

- Actually, I think you’ll find they’re in Cairo, not Alexandria.

Did you know the first man in space was American?

- I think it was a Russian, actually.

- The first man in space was from the Soviet Union, wasn’t he?

The first man on the moon was Russian.

- I think he might have been American.

- Are you sure? I thought he was American, not Russian.

Practice

It takes four hours to fly from Tokyo to New York.

- No way! It’s at least twelve hours.

- I could be wrong, but doesn’t it take a bit longer than that?

- Yeah, right! And it takes ten hours to fly to the moon.

- Er…sorry, but I think I read somewhere that it takes about fourteen hours.

- Actually, I’m not sure about, Isn’t it a bit longer than four hours.

- What? You must be joking! It’s much longer than that.
